I have the iTunes Server enabled on my DNS 323. Works great when I'm on my home's network.
What about when I'm away from home? How can I stream my iTunes music on my DNS from my laptop when I'm at work?

Not without a VPN server. If you haven't heard of that or know how to set up a VPN server, it usually isn't worth the effort. :)

I've heard of VPN and know what it is. It's a secure tunnel through which you log into a network.
Can you direct me to a set of clear instructions on how to set up a VPN connection to my DNS 323?

It's a complicated setup. You can accomplish it with Windows Server (= $$$) or Linux. Problem is there isn't any one "right" way to accomplish it.
Setting up a VPN goes well beyond the scope of this forum. Try Googling (http://lmgtfy.com/?q=Set+up+a+VPN+server) it.
I'll also add that if you're trying to do this while you're at work, you should *really* ask your help desk if they allow you to make VPN connections while at work. Oftentimes when you use VPN at work, it can break connections to local servers or be denied at the company router.
