Good day. I need help with my camera.
Case: I need to transfer my camera to a new router. Since I forgot the password settings of the camera, I decided to reset it following the advised reset procedure. The problem now is that I do not get the solid green light after reset. All I get is a solid red light. I did a little troubleshooting and found out that the problem is the LAN/Ethernet Port. I used the same cable to configure my other camera (DCS-942L) and the installation went smoothly. However, for this unit (DCS-930L), the camera is not detected by the router at all. It does not appear in my Network folder either. How do I fix this? Thanks!

Which router were you using?
Which router are you using now?

My previous router was Huawei. The new one is Technicolor. Would this matter?
Also, is there a way to connect the camera directly to a PC using the LAN port? Is that possible.

- What Hardware version is your DCS? Look at the sticker behind or under the camera.
- What region are you located?
Be sure to swap cables.
If you connect the camera via LAN cable to the modem, look at the modems DHCP client list to see if the camera is listed there and has a new IP address. If not then there is a problem with the lan cable, port on the camera, port on the modem or the modem isn't handing out an IP address for some reason.
