Title: MyDlink Cloud Camera Recording?
Post by: XRaySpeX on February 14, 2017, 06:26:21 PM
There seems no obvious place to post queries regarding the MyDlink server for cameras. So here goes ....

Does the MyDlink Cloud server have any facility for recording & storing images from the cameras it is monitoring?

I know you can use DVC on your PC to make recordings to your PC, but that entails keeping your PC running while you're away. It would be nice to make  recordings, with the PCs off but just the router on, through MyDlink which can view the camera directly.

(disclaimer: I'm a simple end user of dlink products and don't know their full product line in detail).

If you are asking if there is a NEST type service, I've never seen it.  I wouldn't want it with additional monthly fees.

Dlink's idea of cloud is a little bit different IMHO.

There are 3 forums for DLINK camera recorders... I personally have purchased 4 DNR 202Ls (1 for myself, and 3 for family and the dlink cameras I got them).

D-Link doesn't support any recording or storing of images on there service. D-Link has NAS and software that does that.
