I am in Brazil.
The D-link Brazilian website doesn't seem to have this update yet. BTW they don't seem to have a grasp of anything.
I use mine in English anyway.
Can I install it?
Please, let me know.
-
Are you having problems with the DNS? If your not having problems then I would recommend not upgrading.
-
I did upgrade.
And it went all well.
I needed to link my Google Drive to my NAS.
Obviously, it is too early to tell, but all seems to be working as it should be.
I will keep you guys aware if something else appears.
Thanks.

Enjoy. ;)

The only thing I am missing is that I can't find the Dropbox Icon on my add-on management.
I suppose it should be placed after Google Drive.
I have to do something else to make it appear?
-
Make sure it's installed and enabled I presume.
-
I also noticed that I don't have, never had actually the "add-on center" on my previous firmware.
How do I install this "add-on center"?
-
Nevermind.
After a power-cycle involving my laptop & DNS-320L the "add-on center" and Dropbox icons appeared.
It is all working.
thanks for the help.

Enjoy.

After upgrading I can't access "Applications" or "Management" after logging in. It keeps jumping to the login screen. The message I get when trying to access these two tabs is: "CIFS: Authentication for user [root] has FAILED". Now what??? :(
Just read post below with same problem. I use Chrome and I cleared its cache and all is now well!1 :)

What about the missing encryption feature ?
I updated to this firmware and I am still unable to find this feature in the user interface.
We currently have two active threads about this issue and no answer from DLINK.
This -> http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=66385.0 (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=66385.0)
and this -> http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=65683.0 (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=65683.0)
The product advertisement material says this product offers encryption for all volumes but I'm not able to find it anywhere. Looks like a SCAM for me ! >:( >:( >:(
I really would like to hear from DLINK.

I recommend that you phone contact your regional D-Link support office and ask for help and information regarding this. We find that phone contact has better immediate results over using email.
Let us know how it goes please.

Hi,
I couldn't stop laughing from the morning :-)
The NAS lost all the things I've configured since the Upgrade to 1.08 b8
How :
1 - I've configured sshd "Banner" (So You can read my banner at the start of your SSH session) in : /etc/ssh/sshd_config
2 - Updated BusyBox
3 - Updated Some Binaries (can't list them all so you wont be annoyed)
...
I'll stop here cause I'll spend the day telling you all the things I've done :-)
Yesterday I've rebooted my NAS (I do this every week for refreshing process's, give a new fresh start to my NAS)
Now every thing is "identical" to when i've upgraded my NAS,
It's like the / ; /dev ; /usr/local/config ; /usr/local/modules ... have been restored to the original state !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I've done some tests and YES : NAS restore original config at EVERY reboot.
But VERY curiously not the configuration DONE through the GUI (web interface) !!!! That config is loaded at every start (Great : my Volumes config ; shares .... are the same ;-) )
It's like only ROOT config's stays, not ADMIN ones !!!!!!!!!!!!!! (GUI use root privilege to store configs)
So Dlink : Why giving me SSH access then ?
SSH is used for advanced users so they can explore in details their NAS/systems !!! it's like selling me a F1 Car and limitting me at 100km/h
At the end This NAS is not for advanced uses ... I'm OK with this
Till I Buy annother one (with more advanced features) ... A Downgrade is in progress :-(
Have a Nice day :-)

The DNS-320L was an entry level NAS for home users. May not be what advanced users wanted or need. The 320L is supposed to be simple to use for average home users. Anything beyond this maybe not what advanced users need. Advanced users may need to look at other models like the 345 or 340L.
Good Luck.

On previous version of the firmware I hadn't have any problems with ssh (except the fact it uses DSA), but after update ssh doesn't start after reboot (though corresponding checkbox is checked). So I need to uncheck it, apply, check back and apply again, then it starts. Reflashing and factory reset does not help.
-
Not sure if this newer version of FW will be of any help:
