I have 2 older DGS-1224T switches, about 10yrs. old. We just increased our internet speed to 300x20. The internet runs very slowly through these switches. When I plug into a newer DGS-1216T Smart Switch, I get the speeds I'm expecting. Can these switches handle this speed, is there firmware update I can, or is it time to just retire the 1224T. By the way, nothing on the 1224Ts says Smart Switch so I'm assuming they're not?
Thanks for your help!

- What region are you located?
- Check cable between Modem and Router and Switches, swap out to be sure. Link> Cat6 is recommended. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CAT6)
How are the switches being used? After a main host router or after a ISP modem?
What is the Mfr and model of the ISP modem and main host router?
