My Software / Hardware:
Windows 10
2 Hard Drives - 1 has 4 participations (C, D, E, F) 1 has 1 participation (S)
QNap TS412
DLink DNS-320L A1 firmware 2.05
Firefox 52
Vipre Antivirus
I use the Local Backup section of DNS-320 to backup all my local pc drives (Turn the DNS-320 on once a month and let it go and then turn it off)
NOW for anyone thinking that backing up once a month is not enough, let me say this is just a backup of last resort.
I use a program called MirrorFile which backups up as I am working and everything else non stop.
Since moving to Windows 10 (when it first came out) I have been having trouble keeping the Local Backups working. A few months ago the second physical drive on my PC would not backup and I haven't not ever gotten it to do again.
Well Today ALL My local backups have stopped.
I REALLY think this is a Windows Security Setting, But FireFox 52 has now added some real tight security
But it could also be my antivirus software.
Does ANYONE have some ideas. Really think it is in Windows Security Settings

FIGURED IT OUT. I Guess the last time Windows 10 updated itself it turn on "Turn on password protection sharing" turned it off everything seems fine

Well I did not completely figure it out.
Just realized that the main drive with the 4 participation is working
But the other drive with just 1 participation / Drive letter is not working - this one stopped about 6 months ago and have been copying it manually.
Cannot figure out why a separate physical drive would be having problems - has all the same file sharing.
If I figure it out I will report back

Well figured this out as well.
I kept thinking I was having a problem with backing up my local drive but never gave a thought that maybe something was wrong with the destination drive.
Trying to remember when the last time I have a successful backup of this second physical drive was just before I updated the firmware to 2.05
After that it stopping working and I was doing a manual copy from the drive to the DNS-320
ON a grabbing of straws I decided to rename the destination location direction to (Old-S) and create a new directory S and pointed to that one.
WOW now backing up as normal.
Sorry Microsoft this one was not on you
