May i ask regarding the 'dlink access nas' app. Does this new fw 2.05 enable the nas to be use with this app?

Thx..but still no answer for my question. I guess dns-320 will never be able to be access through the cloud app even with the latest firmware. Going to upgrade to a cloud nas later.

The 320 is not a Cloud supporting NAS. The 320L is. Any model product from D-Link with the (L) designation in the model name means it's cloud supporting.

Depending on what you actually want to do there may be a work-round.
We have a DNS-320 with almost the original firmware that we use to keep service manuals and service details for our clients equipment. All of our site service people have a tablet (samsung galaxy note 10.1) that they use to access that NAS to check and update the notes as necessary. All of this is done using the AndFTP app on the tablets and the FTP server on the NAS. It does require correct setting up of our firewall and strong passwords but other than that it works well.

Maybe you can give some step by step instructions to do this?

I've been using smb/cifs and ftp for a while now to access my nas and other network storage connected to my laptop. My recommended app will always be ES File Explorer. You can just follow step by step provided here https://www.cnet.com/how-to/share-files-between-android-and-windows-with-es-file-explorer/ (https://www.cnet.com/how-to/share-files-between-android-and-windows-with-es-file-explorer/). But because of turning on the laptop will using a lot of electricity, im going to try dir-505 after this.
