Does this model allow remote admin configuration on the router?
Wait - I guess that's what an inbound filter is for. I'll try that.
----------------------------
Answer: Yes - I got it. I searched on REMOTE in the manual. Setting up the inbound filter, and selecting that in the remote admin options allows only me.
Lightning took out the cable modem (no power on) and old netgear wndr3400 (powered on, flashing but no internet possible). They put in a DI-604 and that worked immediately. Then they found a DIR-655 laying around and that worked. Had F/W 2.00 and we got that upgraded to 2.11. Initial reports is the the DIR-655 is a lot snappier than the old wndr3400. Lan speed now gigabit instead of 100 megabits. (Of course they got a new modem 614x, with 8 channels down/4 channels up - so that might also have something to do with it).

Port Forwarding issues?
The dnr-202l - i reserved that, it is 192.168.0.2.
I went into advanced -> port forwarding ->
in name I put "dnr202l", ports to open TCP: 8090, ALWAYS, ip address=192.168.0.2, ports to open UDP: 80 inbound filter: mine
I reboot and I can't get in on xxx.xx.xx.xxx:8090
