It appears Live View in the setup menu is no longer supported in ANY browser. Is there a work around to get these cameras set up? Motion detection cannot be set without this feature.

What OS are you using?
IE11 or FF should work for Windows, Safari or FF for Apple.
If you upgraded FF recently, review this:

original 5222l or the newer B version?
which F/W?

Windows 10 creators update and I have tied IE11, Firefox v52.0 and Firefox v53. No dice. I have always had trouble with live view as I usually have to reinstall the .msi every time I use it but this time it just will no go. I have two DSC-5222l ver A cameras cabled to my network. No wireless. There seems to have been some kind of change I am not seeing.

Did you try the ESR version of FF?
Can you test a Windows 7 PC by chance?

Thanks FurryNuts, the link referenced a Firefox about:config change that still works in ver. 53.0.3, the most current as of this post. Add the Boolean "plugin.load_flash_only" and set to "false". Restart the browser and the plugin will work as expected. I know I just made my browser less secure but I have been running like this for years without big brother's help and no issues. I am getting tired of Apple, Google, Microsoft and now Mozilla telling me what's best for me and MY computer.

Link also references a ESR version which the plug-in is supposed to work.

I don't see any complaints (yet) about the CU on google with respect to ie11 and npapi.
I don't have CU yet. My other device might.

I'm on F/W 1.01 with my DCS-5222L H/W Vers A.
This browser doesn't support or disable Java JRE . Get the latest Java JRE here or enable Java JRE.
Click here to download NCSPlugin and install. And then re-open your browser is recommended!!
Installing "InstallCamCilCtrl.msi"
Unable to install since a newer version of this product is already installed.
Sorry, don't feel like installing JRE or updating my 5222L F/W.
A test from my windows vista machine with JRE would be invalid here.

OK - plugged in my other 5222L h/w, and was surprised it was working. I thought it had failed again and had it unplugged for a while.
I upgraded the F/W via the app, and that went smooth, took 5 minutes or so. Firmware Version: 1.14.
IE 11 works with win 10 1607 and the NCS plugin.
Trying to install updates on other win10 test machine, stuck at 99% downloading updates. Will try to confirm this 5222L works there, and then upgrade to Win10 CU.

Ok forgot to test 1.01 f/w version, but I can confirm 1.14 f/w works with WIN 10 CU in IE 11, just like before CU on my machine.
I'm not sure what the OP issue is then.

Possible configuration issue or maybe security software is getting in the way...
-
Initial test with IE11 failed and I didn't pursue that any further. I use IE11 for different purposes and have it configured for those uses so not interested changing it to run camera stuff. That is what I have Firefox for.

Use either IE11 or FF "ESR" for camera operations.
