This BETA firmware is for the 16 and 24 port / revision Bx units only. This will not work with 5 or 8 port switches.

Sorry, new to networking and hitting what is probably going to be a very simple-to-fix problem. I'm trying to upgrade the firmware of my 1100-05 with the firmware provided in your FTP links. When I extract contents from the zip, however, I am given a .flash file rather than a .bin file...which my 1100-05 will not accept as a valid firmware upgrade (it requires a bin file). Is there something I'm missing that I need to do to convert a .flash to a .bin?
Thanks in advance.
-
I will try to see if there is a .bin version for this firmware.
-
wgwgbmp,
Do you have hardware revision A or B? This firmware is for B only.
-
I have version B. Thanks for checking.
-
I sent a request and am just waiting for a response.
-
Same trouble here...
-
Still working on this. They are working with the switch people to get a .BIN file. I am pulling this BETA file off until they get me an updated file.
-
Got word back this BETA firmware is for 16 and 24 port (Revision B) switches. It will not work with the 5 or 8 port units.
-
Ah, ok, thanks for checking. Would be nice to get full DNA functionality, but not the end of the world for my relatively small network.

With this beta firmware, you cannot set any of the DoS attack prevention setting types under Security except for TCP Xmascan. Once you click apply, and then go save the updated configuration and return, everything but Xmascan remains marked in the GUI as disabled. This persists thru a logoff/logon sequence as well.
Hardware rev B2 here, DGS-1100-16. Firefox 56.0.2 on MacOS X and Safari 11.0 both exhibit same GUI behavior.
I was able to contact D-Link US support and get a more recent B043 firmware that corrected the original issue I had, plus removed this particular regression. You guys should refresh this link to a firmware without any significant regressions between B036 and B043.

Thanks for the info. I see that B43 hasn't been officially posted yet. I presume it may be in internal testing and waiting to complete that before getting posted to the web site. I'll pass this on.

Build 043 has not been released. I will asked the techs for the firmware and ask permission to release it here. Sometimes they may get firmware specifically for certain customers that are not released to the public (until fully tested/certified).
