I just bought a DNS-323 which has firmware release 1.06 on it. I copied some music and videos to it and turned on the iTunes Server. The Music shows up in iTunes, but not the videos. Is there a way to fix this?
Is there a format the videos would need to be in to work?
FYI: I put a pair of 2TB Western Digital Green drives in it and it works well. Now if I could just get it to serve my videos, I would call it perfect.
My workaround, in case you are curious, is to mount the drive on my computer (for example: mount smb://AVNas0/Media0 /Volumes/Media0) and provide a link to it from within iTunes (as in: ln -s ~/Library/iTunes /Volumes/Media0/iTunes). This puts my iTunes library on the NAS and allows me to have the same library from any of my computers. It does work, I was doing this with another server but am hoping the DNS-323 can serve up the videos properly instead.

I'm having the same exact problem with my new DNS-321. Music files show up just fine in iTunes, but video files don't seem to be recognized.
I've tried moving the files around between differnet folders but it made no difference.
To be honest, storing VIDEO files on the NAS was really the original plan. They're what's taking up all the space, not the audio files.
Any ideas?

The iTunes implementation does not support Video or Pictures. This implementation is strictly for Audio.
