Title: An FTP question...

My DNS FTP thing seems to be running quite well and trouble free, I have one account setup and can freely access the files from the box from wherever I am. My question is as follows, say I have a file that I would like to share with many people (It's a DJ mix that I made a week ago and it's about 130MB). Is there a way to have a link to just one file without anyone having access to the rest of my files or requiring a user/pass??

Perhaps just a simple HTTP link that I could email/facebook/msn to my friends...

Is something like that possible?

Yes - such a thing is possible - now go find a basic tutorial on ftp and start reading.

Thank you for your help but I am hoping not to show my login/password or simply have the file in an "area" in the NAS box that is accessable without a login/pass.

Whoa, I'm such a dumbass. I setup a basic anonymous account which only has access to one folder that's setup for read only. Easy as pie.
