Post by: sydrock2003 on July 29, 2009, 07:55:09 AM
hi everyone.
i have just formatted my computer and looked to set up my dir615 but couldn't find the installation disc.
i currently cant access the wireless network as the router isnt set up (the globe sign is obviously red).
i have tried to download the firmware on the dlink site but i cannot get it to work.
i have tried daemon and magiciso but i cant get the .bin file to work. i have looked at many tutorials and videos but messsages such as 'not appropraite image' and such come up.
has anyone had such problems? can anyone please help?

thanks alot.
regards, syd.

Can you get online through a wired connection?
What firmware did you try to download?
What hardware version is your router?

i can get through a wired connection becuz i have a wired modem going through to the dlink wirless router and into the computer.
i downloaded the firmware 2.25 revb because my router is B.
but that's not the problem, the problem is that i cant get the .bin file to work. i have tried making cue files, and mounted images, but nothing happens.
can any help?

Have you tried installing the firmware with Internet Explorer. With some versions other browsers will not install the new firmware.
