Hello,I knew this was going to be a challenge. And it is. I have been pushing the WPS buttons on both machines forever.
Had connections with Ethernet Cable between Laptop and DAP-1522. NO LUCK.
Had connections with Ethernet Cable between DAP-152 and DIR-655. NO LUCK.
Followed the Manual to do Manual Setup. No luck.
I can access both 192.168.0.1 as well as .50
I bought the DAP-152 to access my DVR,WII Player, and Playstation Player.
Not interested in calling Dlink Tech Support. Such a waste of time. Too bad, I remember several years ago calling them and it was a pleasant experience. They switched to INDIA,OUTER MONGOLIA and the rest is history.
I will wait for a reply.
Good day

I just bought a second DAP 1522 to connect to a DIR 655. First one is at firmware 1.02 and works perfectly. Second one was at 1.1, I upgraded to 1.2. Could NOT get it to work wirelessly - 2.5 hours. Spent 1 hour with DLink tech support got to Tier 2 tech, coudn't get it workiing, she figured it was defective. I turned OFF Mac forwarding and Windows Secuity (which are on by default) (Mac stuff isn't even an option in 1.02) and BINGO, works perfecly. Tech support never mentioned those options. Do the config manually - its pretty easy, and turn off those options. DLink really needs to figure out their tech support. I was ready to take back the DLINK and try another brand.

Thank you.not sure what you mean do I have 655 connected to Internet wired/wireless?

Thank you. Not sure what you mean by turning off Mac forward and Windows Security. I run Norton 360 for Security. Do you want me to abandon Norton?
tHANK YOU

My advice is make sure the 655 is working fine by itself. Once you have your internet connection working, you can connect both wired and wireless clients to the 655, then try adding the 1522.
I have the exact setup, the 655 works fine, I can get the 1522 to connect, but it brings down my whole network ... so good luck and tell me if you get it to work.
