Title: HOW?
Post by: thecreator on August 01, 2009, 11:03:14 AM
Hi All,

How do I hook up a DI-624 Router to temporarily connect a computer with a DWL-G520 Wireless Adapter to my DIR-655 Router, that I am building for a friend? It is not going to be a permanent connection. Just while I am building the computer.

Disable the DHCP on the DI-624(I use to have that same router) and any secuity settings as Dir will handle it. Bridge mode if it has it, I can't remember.

Hi All,

How do I hook up a WBR-2310 Router to temporarily connect a computer with a DWL-G520 Wireless Adapter to my DIR-655 Router, that I am building for a friend? It is not going to be a permanent connection. Just while I am building the computer.

I did disable the DHCP Server on the WBR-2310.

Where does the Ethernet Cable get plugged into on the WBR2310 or DI-624 when using Bridge mode on the older Router? Wan Port or Lan Port?

In either case, I can't reach the Internet.

Do I need to enable anything on the DIR-655 Router?

Give the Di 624 a static ip that is with in the scope of the Dir 655 (Example: 655 is 192.168.0.1 make 624 192.168.0.2) I'm not sure if you can change the 624 IP to 192.168.0.2 while in bridge mode.
