Title: I got lost - how to use the DIR-615 as ACCESS POINT
Post by: codudi on August 01, 2009, 11:08:20 AM
My DIR-615 is connected to DHCP server. I'd like to use the DIR-615 as pure access point, with no DHCP, so each wireless client that is connected to my DIR-615 will get the IP from the DHCP server in the DSL router. Could not figure out how to do that

you want to use your 615 as a switch or wireless access point. connect the 615 wan port to your other router. set aside an address range in both routers for use only through the 615. make sure the two routers do not share the same ip address. 192.168.0.1 255.255.255.0 is not the same as 192.168.0.1 255.255.0.255.
