Title: Can't Access Certain Websites
Post by: jpartdq on August 03, 2009, 06:55:25 PM
Ok, I  have been googling all night and cannot figure out how to fix this. I have the DIR-655 and it absolutely refuses to access Weightwatchers.com, but it works just fine on ALL other websites.

Can anyone help me figure out what the problem is? I tried connecting to a neighbors internet connection and I can get to the website through theirs, so its gotta be something with my router. Please, any help would be great. Thanks!

Do your neighbours have the same ISP?

Mybe it's blocked in the router? A router is not intelligent enough to block just one site/ip without a written command...

Well that's what I'm trying to figure out. Trust me, I'm not smart enough to tell the router to do that lol. I even reset the router back to original factory conditions no luck. Spent 40 minutes tonight on the phone with Time Warner... they say its all good on their end... its gotta be something wrong with the router but I don't know what.

Thanks...

I've heard that reply too often. Try if you can connect the site through its IP number (not domainname). If that is possible, there's it's DNS issue.

Are you on a pc? If so try to flush the dns cache.

ipconfig /flushdns
