Title: temperature of my dns-323 vs dns-321
Post by: garyhgaryh on August 04, 2009, 01:13:49 AM
My two nas are usually within 5 deg of each other.
Today I noticed my DNS-323 running at 104F and my DNS-321 running at 138F.
Both are running a pair of 1.5T seagate drives in a raid 1 configuration.  Is the
temperature of my dns-321 at 138F something I should worry about?

Thanks,
Gary

I took the front cover off and noticed the front airvents were clogged up.  I cleaned it up and checked the temperature before putting the front cover on.  Temps dropped from 138F to 127F in minutes.

Anyone have higher temps than 138F?
Gary

Ok, this looks to be a dns-321 issue.  See http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=6969.0

Have you tried the beta firmware on the DNS-321?
