I have had my DIR-655 for many months now and it has worked extremely well, just recently I updated to ver 1.1 firmware and have started to have some interesting behaviour of the system.
The most disturbing is in setting reserved ip addresses, if i reserve an address (eg 192.168.1.200) and my DHCP range is 192.168.1.2 - 192.168.1.100 then i get a message saying that the .200 address is out of range and the firmware will not allow me to proceed. If I increase the DHCP range from 1.100 to 1.201 then the firmware will allow me to save that setting and add the 192.168.1.200 address to the reserved list.
I have tried reloading firmware but the problem continues, I did not have issues with earlier versions.
Any guesses or guidance??
Thanks

The Router is acting correctly by telling you it is outside the range. When you make a reservation of an address it has to be one of the available ones in the DHCP range setup. That is the purpose of the reservation, you are telling the router not to hand out that address to another MAC address only the one specified.

Thank you. That makes sense.
