Title: DIR-855 Output Power Changes
Post by: TallCool1 on August 06, 2009, 06:01:07 PM
Enabling the 5GHz radio on my DIR-855 causes a minimum -2dBm reduction in 2GHz radio output power.  The power loss measurement was OTA (over the air) and was consistant across the 2GHz band (i.e. I measured at channels 1, 6 & 11.)  A -2dBm power loss is a substantial drop.  Can Dlink please tell me if this is indicates a potential problem with my router?  Thank you.

On a positive note I see a +2dBm increase in 2GHz radio output when channel autoscan is enabled on that band; 5GHz radio still off.  The strange part is if I manually set the radio to the same channel (channel autoscan selects) I then experience the signall drop originally reported.  Wierd.

I'm not sure I can agree this symptom points to FW.
