Title: Active-TV fails to intall win XP pro
Post by: jmalves on August 11, 2009, 12:44:09 PM
I have been trying to install the Active-TV software (Active-TVsetup2.57.3034) and during the installation it requires Active-TV Server. I click to install this requirement and it fails to install.
Does anybody has a solution for that.

I am running Win XP PRO OS (latest updates up to now) and AVG 8.5 free edition. I also turned off the Windows firewall but the problem remains the same.

Thanks.

JM

Try disabling AVG as well as the firewall and try it. Is it 32 bit or 64 bit OS?

32 Bits.

I am not sure I really turned the AVG off but I run the Active-TV installation and it failed again.

Many thanks.

Does your PC have Windows media player 11 installed NET Framework 1.1 or higher must also be installed on your PC for Active-TV support.

Yes, it has. I can also play my files thru the WMplayer. It works ok.

Have you tried installing it to another PC if you have one available? You may also want to try downloading another copy and try it again.
