Title: Where to find rev B?
Post by: smlunatick on August 13, 2009, 08:28:24 AM
I'm looking to get a DWA-160 adapter but would prefer to get the rev. B model.  I can not locate this version in my local stores.  Would anyone know of some place online which will have this model (besides D-Link's store?)

I'm in Canada.  Bestbuy Canada only has rev A.  Frys does not seem to exist in Canada nor can I find any info on cross boarder shipping.

In the states, I went to two OfficeMax stores before finding a HW:B1 one.  One store had only HW:A1.  One store had all HW:A1, except the HW:B1 that I bought.

I think it is a matter of waiting, if you can.  After the HW:A1 units sell-out, they'll back-fill with HW:B1.  I'd venture to say that most people don't read these forums, so the HW:A1 units should sell pretty quick.

If the stock is to be rotated "out" with the new B revisions, why would NewEgg not receive this new stock.  They have dropped the DWA-160 completely.

How do you know NewEgg dropped it?  Just went to NewEgg, searched for DWA-160, and added it to my cart.  Didn't buy, though; already got one...

I bought a rev B at Office Depot in Boca Raton, FL just 2 days ago. They had a mix of A and B on the shelf.  So far it is better then my A1 version, and I am using the driver from ralink as well. I still have occassional disconnects to my DIR-655 but not as many as I did with the A1
