Two quick questions:
1. I am able to see the video from the camera using the camera IP address in IE8 from one computer but cannot see it from a 2nd computer with IE8 (or firefox 3.5.2 or chrome 2.0). Both are XP pro. What do I need to do on the 2nd computer to see it in IE 8 or firefox or chrome? D-View works great 2nd computer.
2. Can you please point me to a write-up on how to view the image from the camera outside the network?
This is on one of the first DCS-5300G, rev. 1 and Firmware 1.0
Thanks

1. Because of the age of this camera, it does not support anything other than an IE 6.0 or above browser. firefox and chrome (or any other java only based browser) are not supported for Live Video. If it is not working most likely it is due to the security settings on your IE Browser and not allowing the DCS-5300G codec to install.
2. This is a little outdated but you can access it remotely by setting up the following, http://www.dlink.com/support/faqDetail/?prod_id=1433
Your revision confuses me, there is either revision A or Revision B. Which are you using? In either case you should updated the firmware because you would be a few years behind on either one if you had 1.00 still...

Thank you for reply. The H/W is A1 and the F/W is 1.00.
I'll update to firmware 1.02 as you suggest.
Based on your suggestion I will try and "equalize" the working and non working IE8 security settings.
Thanks.

Is Dlink planning on providing Firefox, Safari and/or Chrome support for the DCS-5300g?

Unfortunately we do not have details on this at this time.
