Title: Windows Media Player wont "see" DNS-323
Post by: NextGate on August 16, 2009, 09:01:49 AM
Hi there!,

I am using Windows 7 as s desktop PC. When i open Windows Media Player i can not see it listed in the "Other Libraries" section as the rest of my media servers.

I have enabled UPNP on my DNS but still cannot see it listed.

Please i really need some help, if you need further information let me know.

Thanks in advance
Alex

WMP12 beta doesn't work with Windows 7 RC.

I can confirm that with beta firmware 1.08.b5, WMP12 with Windows 7 RTM *does* properly see the 323 and works quite well.

Thanks,  i have my RTM version of windows but i have not downloaded beta firmware for my DNS.

Maybe i will wait for the final release of the firmware for updating it.

Thanks!

On mine, i could never get the dns323 to work with RTM. i can see the device under other libraries, but when i try to access it, i always get a message, "Connection not allowed by server , contact manuf. of device".   I have tried all settings, just can't get it to go.  The Laptop running Vista x64 won't even see it..   gave up, back to 1.07
