Title: Port Forwarding and Virtual Server resets itself.
Post by: subans on August 16, 2009, 09:43:17 AM
Hi there, the problem I'm having is bit crazy..  ???

My Router is Dir - 625. Current firmware is 3.06. with typical router settings with WPA/WPA2 wireless.

My problem is: when I setup Virtual Server, the setting stays on for awhile. then router resets itself and I lose all the virtual server settings. all other settings are intact.

When I do port forwarding, router says I need to reboot and when I do that I lose the setting immediately. when I go back and check the settings I don't see any changes I made in Port Forwarding. all 24 of them are empty.

My ISP is Rogers (Canada) if that helps.

Thank you!!

There are two firmware revisions since 3.06, they are 3.07 and 3.08.  Reading on this forum 3.08 may be suspect.  I ran 3.07 fine for awhile, someone said 3.06 was the most stable.  Take your pick and let us know what happens.

Had the same problem.  That, along with the Securespot hijacking is why I asked for a replacement.  I'll go hook up the old one to see what rev it is, but I'm pretty sure I ran against to two more recent revs.

I am having the same issue myself Dir 625 version C Firmware is @ 3.06 I save settings and few days later it looses the portforwarding and the virtual. You are certain that 3.07 or 3.08 will solve this issue..
