Title: Checking Voice Mail Externally
Post by: PCTechie on August 17, 2009, 10:44:00 AM
I have a new issue.  A user went to check their voicemail externally (first time used by anyone) and when they got to the part to enter their extension on the keypad it keeps saying "Invalid Entry".  It does not matter what we punch in.  Everything says invalid.  So now no one is able to check their voicemail from the outside.

Any ideas?  I have rebooted everything, still same problem.  All SP's and updates installed.

This is across the board with all users, no one is able to check from outside.

Thank you for your time.

Okay, I figured this one out.  For some reason the DTMF tones were not being recognized by the phone system.

I went into the Dlink gateway DVG-3104MS, Under ADVANCED, CALL CONTROL, I changed the DTMF method to RTP Relay.  Once this was done, DTMF is now working and we can now check our Voicemail externally.

The DTMF issue has been fixed in Firmware 1.02.04e which was recently posted on the support site under the DVG-3104MS. Here is the link to the DVG-3104MS page:http://www.dlink.com/products/?pid=DVG-3104MS.
