Title: switching hard drives
Post by: mercman on August 06, 2018, 12:43:27 PM
HEllo
I have a dlink 320 enclosure which i think gave up the ghost.
I bought another dlink 320 with the hopes of just switching out the drives to a new enclosure.
Well it didnt go as  id had hope  . How can i get the new enclosure to see the old drives without formatting them
Thanks for any and all help as if i cant i  will lose 4 tb of data.
There are 2  3 tb  drives linked  together to make a joint drive of almost 6 tb

Ya, your going to need to start reviewing this:

I presume you created a RAID between the two drive. Moving them to another DNS probably breaks this RAID.
