				I have COVR-C1203 - Hardware Version: A1 and Firmware Version: 1.05

Things working quite well except DDNS service, which I have set to following:

 Enable Dynamic DNS: Enabled
 Server Address: updates.dnsomatic.com
 Host Name: all.dnsomatic.com
 User Name: [My_DNSOMatic_Username]
 Password: [My_DNSOMatic_Password]
 Time Out: 24

For Server Address, I did tried "updates.dnsomatic.com/nic/update?" as well, but it doesn't work.

Status keep showing "connecting" and my IP address never updated to DNSOMatic. Anyone know what is wrong?

 - What region are you located?

Internet Service Provider and Modem Configurations
 - What ISP Service do you have? Cable or DSL?
- What ISP Modem Mfr. and model # do you have?

Do any other DDNS services work? like DDNS or OpenDNS?
-
I am from Malaysia and using cable service.

In my previos router (Asus, TP-Link and Linksys), I used to configure their DDNS feature page to access DNS-O-Matic to update OpenDNS (for parental control) and FreeDNS (for DDNS service).

If I go to http://updates.dnsomatic.com/nic/update? manually and supply with my credential, I can see that DNS-O-Matic will update OpenDNS and FreeDNS with my current IP address.

I think maybe the FW did not code to work with DNS-O-Matic API (https://www.dnsomatic.com/wiki/api).

At some point, I actually give up and want to try use DDNS service from dlinlddns.com, it during registration it keep saying my serial number is invalid.

Ok, I recommend that you phone contact your regional D-Link support office and ask for help and information regarding this. Ask them about DNSoMatic and DDNS.

We find that phone contact has better immediate results over using email.
Let us know how it goes please.

I'm putting my 1203 online this weekend so I might give this a try. I'll pass this along to our office here in the USA as well for review.

I looked up past tickets (dtrack) and it looks like DNSOmatic does not work well with several D-Link routers. They did not give a reason why not unfortunately. I will pass this to the Covr team to look into.
