I just bought a new DIR-655 a couple days ago and have it connected to a D-Link 5-port Gig switch and it keeps falling back to 100 megabit/sec.
I verified the problem does not lie with the switch (tired an alternate gig-e switch), and does not lie with the cable - bought a new Cat-6 cable just in case, problem still exists.
Hardware version A4, with firmware 1.32NA.
Is my router just defective, or is this a common flaw with these things?
Thanks in advance!

What are the model of the switches you used for this test?
-
I used two different DGS-2205 (Dlink) Switches in my test.

What are the hardware versions?
-
B2 for both,
however I performed an additional test where I connected a PC with a Gig-e nic to the router and it connects at 100 mbit/sec.
The same PC connects to the switch at 1000 mbit/sec.

return it or get an RMA.
