Title: DIR-615 T1 WiFi strength becomes low, need to restart every few hours
Post by: lulzintosh on January 19, 2019, 10:46:39 PM
Hello,

I have a DIR-615 T1, been using it for about an year with WiFi to about 4 devices and 1 wired connection.

The WiFi signal strength becomes really low as the hours go by, to the point where I get just 1 MBPS in literally the next room where the router is located.
Literally 1 wall and a 5 meters away I get 1 MBPS download speed.

I restart the router and BAM, 20 MBPS download speed. But after 2 - 3 hours, it goes down to 1 MBPS again.

How do I resolve this issue?
I have tried resetting the device multiple times.

Router Placement
Forum User - "Well I feel really dumb. After moving the router away from other electronic devices my speeds are back to normal. Just a heads up for anyone experiencing slow speeds, you might want to move it away from other electronics and see if that helps."
3-6' feet minimum safe distance between devices.
Placement on main level floor and central in the building and WELL ventilated is preferred. Not in basements or closets as building materials, or near by electronics devices could interfere or hinder good signal propagation.
