Title: DGS-1100-16 HW Rev B2 - SNMP configuration
Post by: lanman1052 on July 28, 2019, 08:16:43 AM

Hello D-Link Forum users,

I have a DGS-1100-16 hardware rev B2. I'm trying to enable SNMP so I can read various metrics from the switch in terms of throughput, collisions, uptime etc.

I've reached out to D-Link support and they've recommended I flash firmware 1.01.B053 onto the device. I did that but SNMP still doesn't work. I'm trying to poll the switch from Cacti to generate graphs from the different interfaces but it keeps timing out.

I've also tried using just regular old snmpwalk but the switch just refuses to answer.

I've simply changed the SNMP global state to enabled, and changed my SNMP read community string.

Does anyone know the secret to enable SNMP on these series of smaller smart switches?

Thank you!

Check the user manual for information regarding SNMP.

Contact D-Link support as well...
