Title: Degraded upload speed causes gaming lag.
Post by: Jackmat on August 24, 2009, 06:01:18 AM
Without the router, I get about 15 mb/s download and 1 mb/s upload.
With the router, I get about 15 mb/s download and 0.66 mb/s upload.
I am wired directly into the thing, not using wifi. I did a pretty basic installation, as I am fairly clueless when it comes to networking and routers. The first week I had the thing, it worked fine or at least well enough that I didn't notice a problem. But now it renders online games unplayable as the poor upload function has the server(any server in any game, I've tried a lot) thinking I am in a different location than I actually am, so I get pushed around and pulled back a lot. Everybody around me is fine, I'm the only one jumping around.

Very annoying. Any suggestions?
