Title: DCS-920 with Acer N270 notebook
Post by: AF on August 24, 2009, 07:45:21 AM
Can camera DCS-920 operate on a Acer netbook with CPU N270 @ 1.60GHz ?
I understand that there are limitations but I only need one camera, maybe eventually 2.

Can the software be located on a remote computer accessible via internet.
EX: camera and router in location "A" (no computer) remotely controlled with bigger computer in location "B" 100 miles away via internet .

Thanks

AF

That is a bit of a low end PC btu you should still be able to access the camera in your browser with no problems. However if you are going to run D-ViewCam software on this PC it may still run but you may see some issues of disconnecting in the surveillance window however more likely with more cameras 1 may be OK I think 1.8 Ghz is the min for 1-4 cameras.

Yes you can install D-ViewCam and another PC and add the cameras remotely to the software as well.
