this would be my 2nd D-Link router, my first being a DIR605L that gave me lots of headaches http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=59539.0

the DIR-882 seems a very good router for the price, but I have two caveats with it:

other than that, so fer the router performs without issues

Most in box cabling isn't the greatest. Seen this with any router Mfr. I usually throw these in to the spare patch cable bin for emergency back up. CAT6 LAN cabling is recommended.

D-Link hasn't put LEDs on there back LAN ports in years and seems like they won't be going back. No real need for them on a daily basis.  For the most part no body looks at them. Maybe once then the router is setup and placed and left to operate. No visible indications needed accept for the front or top LEDs. Just not worth it for D-Link.

Enjoy.  ;)
