Title: Use NAS as 2 port bridge
Post by: ccamacho on September 12, 2019, 01:00:49 PM
Hello,

First thanks for the forum as it's a very nice place with a lot of resources about D-Link devices.

The question is very simple,

Is it possible to connect the NAS in this way?
LAN1: Ethernet port (Wall port to router, Internet, local network).
LAN2: Laptop.

I tried different network configurations without any luck.

The idea is basically to reduce the number of devices as I will like to avoid installing another switch.

Thanks!

The 2 ports on the back are used with Link Aggregation is enabled. Both ports would be connected to a LAG enabled router or switch in this configuration. If thats not enabled, then you'll need use either port and connect it to a switch.
