Title: How do you feed the outdoor cord?

Hi - I have the DCS-8600LH but do not know how to best place it for plugging it in. If I use an outdoor plug, the other socket (double socket) is exposed to elements & intruder can just sneak behind & unplug. Can you feed the cord through a window or sliding door without it being compromised? How have you done this?      2 others wireless model #s were previewed in Las Vegas in Jan 2018 but are only available in UK not US?
