Title: Just purchased but not sure if this is what I need

I need to automatically backup two home computers and a website server using the FTP.

When backing up will the DNS-321 place the backups in separate folders (ie. folders PC1, PC2, Web) or just dump the files together.

Also reading through the forum I found several post on firmware issues. Are you happy with the current firmware and did it solve the fan issues?

You can choose to backup into any designated folder you choose.

Thank you.  Turns out I did need the backup. My computer crashed the next day and I lost two hard drives.
