Title: cannot save QoS settings [fixed]
Post by: dingfelder@gmail.com on March 26, 2020, 08:02:54 PM
Hi

If I go to the QoS settings page, and make a change, Clicking save shows a "please wait" sign and never recovers.
after a couple minutes, it goes away and you are logged out, with the setings not saved.

Are there any workarounds for this? as currently my speed settings are too low, they are slowing down my connection

What FW version are you using?
What browser are you using?
Be sure to clear all browser caches before entering into the routers web page.

Has a factory reset been performed and setup from scratch?

no - as this just masks the issue, its not a solution - if users have to do a factory wipe before they can use functionality, then its a bug.

Update:
1.  I took a chance and upgraded to 1.3 security beta
That immediately fixed the save issue, was able to change QoS settings.
But the download speed dropped to 50 - ouch (slow up too)

2.  waited 12 hours including couple of restarts and speed stayed way low.

3.  downgraded to 1.2 firmware
speeds went immediately back up to over 500
and QoS settings remained the same as what I had set under 1.3

So - some serious bugs there but i'm leaving it as is now, don't want to risk breaking it more

Internet Service Provider and Modem Configurations

Did you factory reset the DIR after v1.30 was applied then setup from scratch?
I just connected my 882 earlier today and it's see's near 900Mbps on a 1Gb ISP service here. Mines loaded with v1.30. QoS is not enabled.

If you apply QOS, for some reason download will be limited to 150Mbps. QOS seems to be broken as well
