Hi guys,
i am relatively new to routers, i did buy 2 pairs of this for my home. My QNAP nas is hooked up to this via ethernet cable and everything works ok on my LAN.
I am trying to set up the Qbelt so i can try to access my NAS from outside my LAN, but it simply is not connecting. I also tried OpenVPN, which is also not connecting.
i have already set up port forwarding and also virtual server, but when i check canyouseeme.org, the ports i opened are not showing as open. Please has anyone seen something similar, please help me understand what i am missing. my goal is to be able to access my NAS from outside my home network especially when i am travelling.

Hi
I am currently based in Hungary, Europe. I believe all the COVR poonts (4 points) are on 1.05. I have a cable fttH 1gb internet. The modem from the ISP is a Fiberhome AN5506 02 FG ONU which i requested for them to setup in Bridge mode and my COVR is the main router . I asked the QNAP support to help and they advised that my router had no ports opened. I tried opening port 80 and 8081 to my laptop on the same network and it works, but somehow not to my NAS

i have just tested a few ports on the DLink cover, the following ports could be opened 8080, 80, 443, 8081, 21
the following did not open and could not be opened - 20, 873, 1723, 1194,

What happens if you downgrade to v1.04?
-
Hi
I have not tried downgrading, as i do not know how, i guess it is simply to download the firmware and reupload. I do not believe this will fix this issue as even before it auto upgraded, i could not open any ports.
Is there a way to check if D-link COVR has specific ports blocked by the firewall from factory?

Just download the FW file from D-Links support site and apply it to the B Point first then the A point router.
If you have been having problems from the get to, I recommend that you phone/chat contact your regional D-Link support office and ask for help and information regarding this.

We find that phone contact has better immediate results over using email.
