Title: Replacement router A2 what firmware do I run?
Post by: WannaRip2278 on August 26, 2009, 10:45:15 AM
Been looking through all the posts and still not sure whats the most reliable/best firmware is currently.  I am at 1.12 and I see that 1.15 fixed port fowarding issues.  This really annoys me because when I had hardware A1 in games it would put me as host every single time.  Now with A2 I am never the host.  Should I change from firmware 1.12?  Please advise

Like yourself I received an A2 replacement unit with 1.12 fw installed. I took a gamble and flashed to 1.15 I had a few issues early on, mainly user error. For the last couple of months It has run flawlessly. I've pondered flashing to 1.21, but I think I'll stay put at where I'm at. This has been my experience and by no way am I endorsing or approving anyone else to do as I did.

I liked 1.15FW, better than 1.16.  1.16 is where the wireless issues creeped up big time.  And then it carried over into 1.2x.

Right now I have 1.15 I still cant host games as when I had the A1 router at 1.15.  I would get host 95 percent of the time.  I do have the file for 1.16B03 just worried to use it there must be a reason why its not available on the firmware site.
