I have a DGS-1210-10 that has been sitting for a while. I reset it using the reset button since I could not remember the management IP address. I can now ping the device at 10.90.90.90, but going to http://10.90.90.90 does not yield a management interface, and telnet does not work either. What do I need to do to get management back online so I can configure this switch?
Thanks,
S

Is your wired PC set up for a static IP address in the same range as 10.90.90.## ?
-
Yes it is. I'm directly connected to one of the ports on the switch, and my nic is configured with a 10.90.90.x IP and a /24 subnet. No GW or DNS defined. I do get a response from pings to 10.90.90.90, and I've left the switch running for hours since it has been reset, but management did not come up.

I recommend that you phone contact your regional D-Link support office and ask for help and information regarding this.

We find that online chat or phone contact has better immediate results over using email.
Let us know how it goes please.

A good suggestion. I thought the switch was out of warranty, but apparently it's a limited lifetime warranty. I have a case open. Hopefully I can get the unit RMA'd.

I've received an RMA. I'll be sending the switch back to Dlink shortly.
