The 750 works fine with Windows 7 with the current firmware.

It mostly works fine for me too, but I am having one issue that is really annoying me.  Every time I power up the DSM-750, I have to re-configure the Windows Media Center portion (with the 8-digit code) if I want to get into Media Center mode.

What anti-virus software is on your PC?

Avast - free antivirus.

Have you tried disabling it?

Yes - same issue.  Every time I enter Media Center mode, I have to reconnect the extender.

Hmm some services must still be running when disabled. Windows should store the extender information I have seen this a few times and removing the AV software running has resolved the issue.

I think that may have done the trick.  I've restarted the extender a couple times and both times it did not prompt me to reconfigure it.  Thanks.
