Greetings all. Fist time posting on here. I am decent in PC knowledge however I know zero when it comes to routers.
I saw a similar post to mine but it didn't really seem to fit my problem.
Several months ago I purchased a dir-655 router. I got around to installing it today. I popped the installation CD in my drive, and chose the "install router" link. I followed the steps carefully to set up the router, chose the various passwords, and I get to the step where it states "configuring router settings". After waiting for several minutes I get this message "Error 302: Internal Code Router Setup Cannot Continue" I follow the directions it lists by exiting the program, taking the cd up, and restarting my PC. I still get the same error when I try again after a reboot. Can anyone help in figuring out what is going wrong?
Also I am able to get on to the internet through the router. Do I even need to run this installation CD? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

If I'm correct the CD is just a flash media that kinda walks you through a basic setup. If I were you I'd print or save to text doc. the manual and put that cd back in the box. http://192.168.0.1 and the pass is "admin" if you haven't changed it.
Also inside the router "setup" pages after you log in are some very helpful "support" pages.
