Is there anyway to get the chunks higher than this coming from the DNS-321? Some of my MKVs play choppy from my nfs share...
#mount
192.168.1.2:/mnt/HD_a2/MediaTank on /tmp/media/usb/MediaTank type nfs (rw,v3,rsize=8192,wsize=8192,soft,intr,lock,proto=udp,addr=192.168.1.2) [/mount]
Thanks in advance for the help...

I have the same problem, choppy 720p and 1080p, tried jumbo frames etc.. no luck. The same videos play flawlessly from my Netgear NV+, same switch.
Very irritating... any suggestions? Im starting to agree that this NAS may be junk.

I personally have no problems (as of yet) with the 720p and even many of the 1080p. Some 1080p stutter at the same exact places with the nfs share on the DNS-321 (they work fine with a local drive). I too have tried jumbo frames on and off and still no luck.
I have spent a significant amount of time and have gotten a lot of assistance at a different forum focusing on the WDTV and no one can seem to figure out why it is doing it. I am starting to think it is this particular NAS but I would like to know for sure before I take it back and have to reformat my 4 tb worth of drives and start from scratch....
Any input is appreciated!

I have NO problem at all running 2 movies (LotR 1 & LotR 2, action sequences) 1080p at the same time from my DNS-323 using D-Link's NFS & having Jumbo frames enabled.
This is how I've mounted it using /etc/fstab
192.168.0.2:/mnt/HD_b2/Media/Movies /home/user/Videos nfs _netdev,auto 0 0
I'm having a D-Link DIR-655 router as well.
Runs perfectly fine. I'm actually considering buying a 2nd DNS-323, or maybe even a DNS-343! Great joy for that price.

I too have no issues with multiple 1080p concurrent playback, but I also have the DNS-323 rather than the DNS-321, but I doubt that's the problem. I run OOTB samba but run fun_plug to ensure only a minimal number of services are running as well as replacing the BT client with Transmission as it uses fewer resources.
I'd take a serious look at what you are running (no media servers for instance, use the network shares instead).
