I am about to return my second 825. Here is my setup:
ISP: earthlink
DSL modem: Speedstream 5360
Old router: D-Link WBR-2310
New router: D-Link 825 B1 updated to firmware 2.02NA
Basic problem: With the 825, I cannot maintain a connection to the internet. The router appears to connect and then after a few minutes the connection dies and it will not reconnect. A power cycle starts the sequence over again. If I merely switch the cables back to the old router everything works.
After a long conversation with D-Link Tech support (level-3 ??), I was told that I need to contact Earthlink to find out how to set my modem to bridge mode (bridged mode?). I don't understand what that is, or why this is Earthlink's problem and not D-Link's. Should I pursue this line, or just return the router? Any explanation would be most appreciated -- I am not very knowledgeable in this.

I had your exact same problem with the internet connection, but I have AT&T Yahoo DSL. I eventually got mine working after talking to several techs. He had me set a static DNS value in my computer's 'network connections'. This may work with you. You will also have to set this DNS value with any devices using your internet. I am not sure if you would need the same DNS value as me but they should know. I still plan on returning my DIR-825 though. Its simply not worth it with such problems and very expensive tech support (after the 30-90 day warranty).
Hope this helps
