will we ever be able to log outbound traffic via the systlog?

using wallwatcher/realtime logging I never see any outbound info

Have you tried any other software? See if other SMNP client does it too.

it seems that I had to make a policy in access control to see any outbound activity

outgoiing web is now being logged
