Title: Issues to connect an WiFi IP Cam in my DIR-655
Post by: cauefw on September 10, 2009, 02:15:37 AM
Hi!

I do have an DIR-655 (Firmware 1.21) for quite a time now... no big issues so far... but today I bought a new WiFi IP-Camera TP-Link (TL-SC3130G) and thereīs no way I can get it connected to my DIR-655.

It connects in my neighbors Linksys Router, but it doesnīt on the DIR-655.

I read something about devices not working when the DIR-655 is configured in mixed mode (n,b,g) which is my case...

Havenīt tried yet to change this, Iīll try this morning (left camera in the office)...

Any ideas?!

Thanks!

hi, i have 2 ip cameras connected to my DIR-655 with no problems, you will probably find the cameras are only capable of WEP encryption.  If you are using N mode you are probably running WPA encryption.  Hope this helps.

Hey pigsy1974! Thanks for taking your time to reply!

In fact this IP Cam supports WPA/WPA2-PSK (TKIP and AES).

I tried to remove the WPA at all, without success.

My firmware is 1.21. I will try to upgrade this afternoon and see... I just didnīt wanted to go for 1.32, but it seens like I will need to.

If you have any other ideas, please let me know!

Cheers!
