I'm using Shareport 1.15 and upgraded the firmware from 1.21 to 1.32 on my DIR-655 router.
Shareport would find devices before, but they wouldn't always work properly. It wouldn't pick up the printer sometimes.
And my external hard drive would get horrible speeds. 1 MB/s or 4 MB/s on a different computer. I used these devices one at a time with the router, I'm not using any type of USB hub. The external hard drive is powered, it's not trying to take power from the router.
Now that I've upgraded my router firmware, shareport isn't showing any devices on any computer. Is there anything I can do at all?

I had the same problem. I'm a novice at this so I try things at random....
After upgrading and the Utility saying "no devices are connected", I went into the firewall settings and basically told it every device on the network was a trusted source, then I rebooted.
On reboot my security program ask for authorization for "Connect. exe" to talk to the network. I replied yes..... and the Shareport Utility popped up and showed the connected USB hard drive.
This was all a shoy-in-the-dark for me but I guess I did something right, cause it is now working.
Hope somehow this helps.....

.... oh, by reboot, I meant I rebooted the entire PC, not the router.......

But I don't even have Windows Firewall running. :(
Nor do I have the firewall enabled in the router settings. Enable SPI is unchecked.

Well if you dont have Windows firewall running and you don't have any other Internet security program running with a firewall, you should be cool there.
Did you upgrade the Shareport utility itself on your PC?
1.32NA works with a different version of that utility so you do need to upgrade that too.

ZOMFG!
I didn't know that you had to use Shareport Utility 1.10!
I thought the latest would be 1.14, you know.... Because 14 comes after 10.
But anyways, this new utility looks awesome, and my printer is showing up. I'm going to hook up the external and let you guys know what type of speeds I get!

....yeah, you would think! :=)
I'm glad it is finally working for you bro.
Yes, let us know if your speeds improve.
BTW, I agree the new Shareport Utility looks much sharper. Jury still out though on if it works better.
