Title: Vista not even detecting card
Post by: schizbomb on September 17, 2009, 05:25:24 PM
Hi, just bought this because recently, I moved away from wired connections and both my PCI slots are filled, so I had to get a PCI-e card.

Only when I install it, Vista 32 bit, nor 7 64 bit even detects the card, they both install the PCI-e driver when I plug it in, but never the card.

I have onboard LAN disabled and checked my device manager, there's no trace of it. I returned the first one and the second one still does, no matter which of the 4 PCI-e slots I use.

Any suggestions or am I bound to be internet-less until I can get on a wire again?

Sounds like a problem with your motherboard, not the card.  I am running this card in Vista-64 and Win7-64 with no issues.  This the fastest N card I have seen.
