Owned my DNS-323 for over a year. I have 2 Seagate Barracuda 750 GB drives installed in my DNS-323, which I had set to RAID 1. Noticed today that the RAID was degraded. Both drives are installed in the NAS, both drive status lights are blue, and I have never seen an amber status light for either drive bay. Only Volume_1 is listed as being installed. Ran SeaTools and it is able to locate only one harddrive in the NAS. Am I doing something simple / stupid incorrectly?

I run RAID-1 on both a DNS-323 and a DNS-321. With RAID-1, you only see one volume, at least that's all I have ever seen on either of the boxes.

I appreciate your help and your comment. I understand that in RAID 1 there really is no true "Volume_2", but then why would the 'Sync Time' be degraded? And why does the 'Physical Disk Info' have no mention of the 2nd hard drive?

That's a different question. Obviously, one of the disks is malfunctioning if it's not listed. Mine lists both the left and right disk, but the only thing in the root is Volume_1, web_page, and lp. There are also a couple of shares listed for other users, but they're not "standard" if you haven't created accounts for sharing.
